Manzanita Elementary is a school of excellence where every student, in all capacities, is highly valued. Our entire school community is committed to our students learning and finishing their elementary education with 21st Century skills in place guaranteeing their future success. Our three-fold goal focuses on the whole child through nutrition, physical exercise, and academic instruction. We offer many unique programs including dual immersion, coding, a great artist program and more. We continually strive to improve instruction by meeting regularly to analyze data in grade level teams and through vertical articulation. We have high expectations for all children and believe every child is capable of learning and surpassing these expectations. At Manzanita, our Marvelous Mustangs R.U.L.E. - Read, Understand and Learn EVERYDAY. Manzanita Elementary is one of the 279 schools being recognized for 2018, in our first annual report Top Los Angeles Public Schools for Underserved Students in collaboration with the University of Southern California Sol Price Center for Social Innovation and Rossier School of Education Center for Education Policy, Equity and Governance.

Congratulations! After an extensive analysis of student data for every public school in California, the following schools in your school district or CMO were clear leaders in getting students to grade level and beyond: Barranca Elementary, Ben Lomond Elementary, Manzanita Elementary, Merwin Elementary, Mesa Elementary, Rowland Avenue Elementary, Sierra Vista Middle, Traweek Middle, Workman Avenue Elementary
These schools have been named an Honor Roll school for the 2017-2018 California Honor Roll presented by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE). Honor Roll schools will receive recognition in the press as a leader in student achievement and will be provided with a free banner to display on campus. They will also be featured on our website where educators and policymakers seek out high performing schools so that they can replicate success.
