Greetings Titan Community,
At Traweek we believe in success for all. We demonstrate our commitment to this approach through a wide range of learning opportunities to meet the holistic needs of adolescents. Our faculty and staff take great pride in our academic offerings which include pre-AP history, advanced math courses, honors science and English paired with innovative electives designed with a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) focus. If you are looking for a truly engaging and forward thinking middle school program, look no further than Traweek.
To forward our STEAM theme, we offer several unique courses to compliment our rigorous core academic classes and computer science immersion program. These include Project Lead the Way Introduction to Computer Science, Computer Coding, and AVID, a college preparatory pathway. In recent years, we have expanded our Project Lead the Way Design Modeling/ Automation and Robotics program and continue to improve our facilities each year to provide for an optimal learning environment.
In addition to outstanding academics and unique programs, we believe that a well rounded middle school education includes opportunities for the development of pro-social skills. As such, Traweek features Where Everyone Belongs (WEB), a mentoring program for 6th grade students, Titan Leadership Council, National Junior Honor Society, numerous student clubs and activities, seasonal after school athletics and the Renaissance Program.
At Traweek, success is rooted in collaborative effort and a great sense of community pride. Titan pride permeates all aspects of our school, from signature academic programs and innovative electives to multiple opportunities for leadership and character development. Our history of academic success has been a collective effort through the strategic collaboration of faculty, staff, parents, community members and most importantly students. Our instructional focus for the 2018-2019 school year is writing across the curriculum, in order to build college and career readiness for all students.
Please check our website often and follow Traweek on Twitter @Traweek_MS for news about upcoming events and opportunities to become involved in the Titan community. We invite parents and community members to celebrate our success and partner with us through participation and membership in the PTSA, School Site Council, English Learner's Advisory Committee or through volunteering on campus. Exciting things are happening. The Titan Team looks forward to 2018-2019 being a truly outstanding year of learning and Success for All!
