Immunizations

  • C-VUSD and the Los Angeles County Health Department regulations require complete health and immunization records for incoming kindergartners and students new to the district must be presented in written form and authorized or signed by a public health clinic, health care provider or private doctor before a student can begin attending classes. The health records should be brought when parents/guardians come to pre-register children for the new school year. There is no grace period: all immunizations must be up to date before a youngster can attend school. For more information, visit shotsforschool.org

    Whooping Cough (Pertussis)

Since 2011, California law requires students to be immunized against pertussis (also known as "Tdap"). Students must receive one dose of the Tdap vaccine on or after their 7th birthday. Additionally, all students entering the 7th grade will need proof of a Tdap booster shot before starting school.
