    2017 AVID Seniors Applying to and Getting Accepted Into a Four-Year College:

    88% Applied, 79% Accepted

    Nearly 9 out of 10 AVID seniors submitted college applications, and nearly 8 out of every 10 AVID seniors were accepted into four-year colleges.

  • AVID OBJECTIVES:

    • Provide academic instruction and other support to students 
    • Prepare students for high school and, ultimately, eligibility to four-year colleges and universities
    • To increase "coping skills" of students and help them learn how to study and be successful students
    • Motivate students to seek a college education
    • Increase the participants' level of career awareness

    IN THE AVID ELECTIVE CLASS STUDENTS WILL...
