Associated Student Body (ASB) is highly respected at Las Palmas. The team of 7th and 8th grade students who have worked hard either to be elected or appointed to their position, are taking on the challenge of making this year one to remember. ASB is a class just like any other that gets a grade, which contributes towards their GPA. Each member works hard to keep his or her grades and citizenship at pristine condition inside and outside of the classroom. They are required to do numerous hours of community and school service and help in other ways as needed. This class consists of multiple committees whose jobs range from planning and organizing various activities around the campus, such as dances, lunch time activities, fundraising, supporting the staff, and student celebrations. ASB is responsible for making sure students get the best out of their middle school years here at LP and setting a good example for everyone on campus.
