Welding is a vocational training program based upon practical hands-on welding and classroom theory in all welding processes from basic to advanced techniques. The Welding Center is licensed to administer the practical examinations required by the Los Angeles Department of Building & Safety and in accordance with AWS D1.1. L.A. City written examination prep classes are also offered with limited enrollment.

Metal Fabrication introduces students to metalworking, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication layout. Students will receive technical training and "in the field" working knowledge that is required to meet the demands of the industry, to gain marketable skills as a fabricator, and to prepare students for employment. This course is designed to give students the training, knowledge, and skills necessary to perform accurate and precise fit up from simple shapes to complex projects and custom assemblies.
