Dear Barranca Family,

I am humbled and excited to join the Bronco community as your new principal! Barranca has excelled at providing a thoughtful educational experience during the foundational years of a student’s life through a strong focus on academics and social-emotional wellness. The opportunity to work with the school’s dynamic staff and families to support Barranca’s continued success was not to be passed up! As I celebrate my twenty-fifth anniversary in education and my fourteenth year in school leadership, I look forward to carrying on the school’s tradition of excellence. My experiences as a principal in LA Unified, overseeing a cohort of elementary administrators at the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools and being a mom to a rising first grader give me a unique perspective in how we can work together to nurture the individual needs of every child on our campus. #BRONCOPRIDE

I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you as we kick-off our new school year. A few opportunities and important dates on the horizon: 

• Our official “Welcome Back Letter” will be sent out to families during the first week of August. This correspondence will contain lots of important information pertaining to the new school year including calendars, PTA announcements and campus procedures.

• The school office opens on Thursday, August 1 at 8:00 AM.

• School tours for new students will be held on Wednesday, August 7 at 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 and 2:00. No reservations are required. We can’t wait to meet our newest Broncos! 

• The Kindergarten Self-Guided Tour is Wednesday, August 14 at 3:00.
