Rowland Avenue Elementary School is a California Distinguished School, Gold Ribbon School, recipient of the Title 1 Academic Achievement Award, Golden Bell Award and is nationally endorsed by the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation. Located 20 miles from downtown Los Angeles, the school was constructed in 1958 and modernized in 1993. Seventy percent of teachers have advanced degrees and all teachers have their CLAD credential. We have several support personnel including: a Psychologist, a Learning Specialist, a Speech Specialist, counselor, and instructional aides. All teachers have laptops, projectors, document cameras, and Apple TVs in their classrooms. Classes have access to computer labs equipped with either desktop or laptop computers. Every student has a chrome book.

Rowland Avenue staff works hard to give students an environment that is nurturing and has high expectations.
