• Transitional Kindergarten

    What is Transitional Kindergarten? 

    Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is a bridge between preschool and kindergarten.  TK prepares students both academically and socially for kindergarten. 

     

    Who is eligible for Transitional Kindergarten? 

    2023-24: Children who turn 5 September 2- April 2

    2024-25: Children who turn 5 September 2- June 2

    2025-26: All students that turn 4 by September 1

    *Children not currently eligible for TK will be placed on a district waiting list pending availability of space.  Children will be taken off the waiting list in birth date order.

    When are the hours of Transitional Kindergarten?

    Monday, Wednesday-Friday: 8:15 AM-1:00 PM

    Tiny Tuesday: 8:15 AM-12:10 PM

    *Childcare is available before and after TK through our Kids’ Korner Before and After School Child Care Program. Parents are responsible for childcare fees.

     

    Where is Transitional Kindergarten located? 

    Covina-Valley is proud to offer TK at all elementary school sites.

     

    What is the cost of Transitional Kindergarten? 

    There is no cost for TK!
