Classified School Employee Teacher Credentialing Program Grant

Covina-Valley Unified School District is excited to announce a grant opportunity available through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). This grant is designed for classified school employees who wish to pursue both an undergraduate degree and a CTC-approved teacher preparation program, ultimately leading to qualification as credentialed teachers.
Participants in this program can receive up to $4,800 annually through June 30, 2026, to support the attainment of a Preliminary Teaching Credential.
To be eligible for reimbursement through this grant, C-VUSD classified employees must commit to the following requirements:
- Graduate from an institution of higher education (IHE)
- Complete all requirements for a multiple-subject, single-subject, or educational specialist teaching credential
- Submit transcripts and original receipts for reimbursement
- Teach for one school year in our District for each year of financial assistance received while attending an institution of higher education under this program
- Adhere to the rules and requirements set forth by C-VUSD
