After School Education and Safety Program

  • The After School Education and Safety Program (ASES) is a free service available to all students at specified Covina-Valley Unified school sites during non-school hours. It is limited to an enrollment of 90 students per location and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. It is funded by state grants and C-VUSD is the grant administrator.

The program is offered at the following elementary schools

    • Manzanita
    • Merwin
    • Ben Lomond

Covina-Valley Unified School District manages and supervises the three sites in which after-school education and enrichment opportunities are provided. This extended-day learning program assists students with homework, provides academic enrichment opportunities such as music and art, and engages students in beneficial outdoor physical activities. The service is open immediately upon the conclusion of the regular school day until 6:00 p.m. on the days that school is in session. The ASES program is not open on holidays or non-student days.
