    Covina-Valley Unified School District will host a College and Career Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. on the District Field, providing students with important resources as they consider their educational and professional options for the future. More than 50 colleges and universities, trade schools, and the armed forces will participate in the event, including the University of Southern California (USC), Chapman University, Grand Canyon University (GCU), Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, the United States Naval Academy, and more.     Three Covina-Valley Unified School District high school students went above and beyond this summer by seeking out and participating in prestigious academic internships, programs, and camps. Each of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)-focused programs enhanced the students’ understanding and knowledge of STEM concepts, while also providing vital experience and insight into various careers in STEM-related fields.   • 9-15-22 Covina-Valley Unified Welcomes New Administrators for 2022-23 School Year

    Four new administrators will bring their talent and experience to Covina-Valley Unified School District this year, helping to further the District’s mission to provide educational excellence for its students. Rebecca Handzel is the new principal at Fairvalley High School (Fairvalley HS), Covina-Valley Learning Options Academy (C-VLOA), and the Adult Transition Program (ATP), Ann Anderson has taken the helm as principal at Grovecenter Elementary, Kazuko Tuttle is the new principal at Cypress Elementary, and Elena Camarillo has stepped into the role of Assistant Principal at both Mesa and Cypress elementary schools.   • 8-29-22 Covina-Valley Unified School District Kicks Off 2022-23 School Year with Celebratory First Day

    Covina-Valley Unified enthusiastically welcomed more than 11,000 students onto its campuses on Aug. 22 with banners, balloons, music, and smiling teachers, staff and mascots to begin the 2022-23 school year. The District boasts a range of innovative programs for its students, including preschool and Transitional Kindergarten, dual-immersion courses in Mandarin and Spanish, 23 career technical education pathways, and after school programming that provides both academic support and supervised activities and recreation for students.   • 8-19-22 District Prepares for New School Year with Welcome Back Convocation

    Covina-Valley Unified School District welcomed teachers and staff to the start of the new school year with celebrations, appreciation, and a powerful keynote speaker at their convocation on Aug.18. The convocation included two spotlight videos celebrating the 2022-23 Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year, as well as a showcase video highlighting the amazing programs and culture in Covina-Valley Unified.
