Aligned with the National PTA's core commitment, "Every Child. One Voice," and the California State PTA's goal of positively impacting children and families, the Covina-Valley Council of PTAs is focused on action. Our mission is to guide, mentor, and advocate to effectively inspire, engage, and empower our leaders and the wider community.
The Covina-Valley Council manages 16 local PTA/PTSA units (comprising 9 elementary, 3 middle, and 4 high schools), with roughly 150 volunteers serving on individual units. We operate as part of the First District PTA, an extensive regional network overseeing approximately 240 schools and councils stretching from Burbank to Pomona.
All of our 16 PTA/PTSA units and the council maintain a high level of activity and commitment to advocacy on behalf of all children within the district. Our dedicated volunteers collaborate closely with school staff and the district on a daily basis to optimize support strategies and enhance engagement with students and the wider community.
We are so grateful for the overwhelming response to our “Ready, Set, Go” membership drive! As of November, we have 5,678 PTA members, putting us at an incredible 88% of our 6,500 goal for the 2025-2026 school year.
The support we receive from the wider Covina-Valley community is deeply appreciated. Furthermore, the commitment and backing from our teachers, staff, and administration is nothing short of phenomenal. We feel incredibly blessed to be in a position to serve and help meet the needs of all the students across our district.
